Colin has 30 years experience in soft tissue massage, manual therapy and movement & exercise rehabilitation. He has qualifications in remedial massage, a Bachelor of Science majoring in Human Movement (University of Western Australia ) and a Masters Degree in Chiropractic (Macquarie University).
He practiced in a range of soft tissue and chiropractic clinics in NSW and WA before starting out on his own to provide a deliberately small scale, personalised & high quality practice. He has also consulted in workplace injury assessment, return-to-work programmes and gym-based personal training and conditioning rehabilitation.
Continuing to remain curious and continuing to refine hands-on and clinical investigation skills is a feature of this clinic. Continuing education has always been a must. Much has changed, and is changing, in the world of manual therapy, sports medicine, rehabilitation and neuroscience and it is vital (and incredibly interesting) to stay anywhere near current in thought and in practice.

We are all too frequently not living the lives that our bodies were designed for, especially with regard to movement.
A pain problem in muscles or joints means you have a movement problem, and is a call to action before you reach breaking point. Soft tissue problems give you joint problems and joint problems give you soft issue problems.
No single discipline has all the answers - chiropractic, physiotherapy, osteopathy, massage, sports medicine and exercise science each have something to offer. So we utilise a range of skills and know-how drawn from the wide world of science-informed manual and sports & exercise medicine.
We provide a unique blend of one-on-one manual therapy and active rehabilitation for musculoskeletal issues including
acute and persistent pain ・ back, neck & spinal pain ・ sprains & strains ・ headache ・ whiplash ・ muscle and joint problems ・ nerve irritation ・ sporting injuries.
This is not 5 minute medicine. Our consultations & treatment necessarily need time (40 / 60min sessions), curiosity and attention to detail and, ideally, early intervention. We are deliberately small scale but high quality.
We can help bridge the gap between what you can do and what you want to do with your body. Recreate your ability.
Whether struggling with an overuse injury, a sporting injury, a workplace injury, or persistent pain, we can help you to ...
move better, feel better.
So you can live better. That's what we are here for.
HOW WE PRACTICE
Chiropractic & Soft Tissue
WHAT WE DO
MUSCULOSKELETAL CHIROPRACTIC WITH SOFT TISSUE
Hands-on soft tissue work combined with an eclectic mix of chiropractic, osteopathic & physiotherapy manual therapy techniques - for muscle, ligament & fascial tension, joint mobility & control, and nerve dysfunction.
Standard (40min) & extended (60min) appointments - not 5 minute medicine.
Movement & exercise prescribed early and customised to you -
Poor posture and movement patterns re-trained to improve joint & tissue quality.
Alignment, mobility, stability and strength addressed in that order - move better, feel better.
REMEDIAL / SPORTS MASSAGE
Traditional deep tissue bodywork if that is your preference.
A unique corrective blend of soft tissue techniques and knowledge working on imbalances in tissue quality and tension.
ADVICE AND PREVENTION
A diagnosis of your problem with a clear unhurried explanation.
Causes of the problem addressed with active science-based strategies.
Heighten your awareness of what to do & what not to do - a pain problem means you have a movement problem.
